Makenzie had a great 1st grade year. She had a fantastic teacher, who went above and beyond (Ms. Gallegos). On Wednesday, June 3rd, their class held a "Books for Breakfast" celebration. Chance and I attended. Makenzie shared a book she had written. Ms. Gallegos covered all the books in fabric. The books had a publisher, dedication, about the author, etc.. page. Kenzie read her book to us, it brought tears to my eyes. Kenzie booked was titled, Losing My Tooth. Then each student presented their parents with a quilt. The quilt had 12 decorated squares, one for each month of the year. Kenzie sewed a lot of it herself. It was quite amazing. Yesterday she slept with her quilt on her bed.
