Kaely turned 9 on September 11th. She, as well as Kenzie and Londyn, had parties with the family in the states. However, Kaely also had a friend party on the 10th, since her b-day isn't exactly during the summer. She had 5 girls spend the night. They went swimming, went and got their hair and nails done at a Turkish beauty shop near our house, watched "Camp Rock" on the wall (using our infocus), and just had fun.
The biggest present she received was...... A DOG!!!!! I know I am crazy, but you have to admit, I win the mom of the year award for this. :) If you know me well, I DO NOT like dogs. However, Kaely has begged and wished for one for years. She wants to be a vet and adores animals. Our neighbor, nanny, brought up the idea over a month ago. She had a friend whose dog was having puppies. It fell into our hands, what were we suppose to do ? Anyway- check out the picture of Kaely's face. She had know idea and couldn't believe it. She named him Ginger Melek (angel in Turkish) Wilson. She is actually out walking him now. Crazy!!!!

Ok, seriously I NEVER thought I would see this... EVER!!! But you know me and I do not like dogs either and Carson got one for his birthday too, and it's an indoor house dog to boot! How fun for Kaely. I bet she is in heaven. I was thinking about her on her birthday and we were going to send a card, but I was sick in bed, so tell her that we were thinking about her. I hope everything is going good for you guys, I haven't heard from you in a while. I need to call and chat with ya one of these days, I am missing you! Love ya, Lis
So funny!! I coldn't believe Kaely's email when she told me she got it!! Wow! It looks like we have now all tried (and some failed- like me) dog ownership. She is awesome though, and will take good care of it. If not, you probably got some good recipies from your Korean friends right? ;P JUST KIDDING!!!! Love you guys!
Yep, you rock--:) No cooking the Angel!!
Not much here. I have hugged too many kinders and am now at home with the flu. That said, I simply cannot turn down a 5 year old who needs a hug, so I guess I should stock up on Vitamin C and TP!
We found a house. There is plenty of room so plan your visit. Once our move is done I am going to start seriously looking at airfares to Turkey.
Miss you guys!
Love,
The Obermites
