This This last weekend we went to Cappadocia for my birthday. We went with Kat and her family. Kat teaches 3rd grade at IUS. She has two cute little kids, Kaya and Alayna. We left early Saturday morning and came back Sunday evening. It was a quick trip, but no matter how long you stay in Cappadocia it is always "magical." It seriously is one of the most amazing places in the world.
We went shopping as usual. We even bought two more rugs, hence all the carpet pictures. The girls love carpet shops though. They always get "Turkish tea" and get to play hide-in-seek and games all over the piles of carpets. They actually request to go to carpet stores. We went to a couple cave dwellings and to the Genius Book of World Records "Hair Museum" I know that sounds a little gross, but it was really interesting. The girls and I even added our hair. So, yes all those twisted, creepy hanging things from the ceiling... they are indeed human hair! :)

Hey Ang,
HAPPY LATE BIRTHDAY!!! I was bummed that I couldn't get ahold of you on your birthday, now I know why! Looks like you had lots of fun. I am jealous of all the fun trips you guys go on. Good for you. So did you have a good birthday? I will still try to get ahold of you. Talk to you later, Lis
Makes us home-sick for Turkey ... we love Cappadocia. I have a picture of Arcadia sitting at that very same potter's wheel.
Ang, I'm so excited to find your blog. My husband and I are thinking about moving to Turkey for our next foreign service assignment. I can't wait to catch up on all your comings and goings whilst also learning about life in Turkey!!
You guys look great! love the big title picture! I still can't believe you live overseas... I mean so do we, but we're still in a state!
Sounds like you are having fun. That's so cool that you get to go on so many cool trips and see so many great things. I was glad i got to see you why you were in cedar.
